Mulberry Service Ltd
Company introduction
We make earphones and headphones in small lines, from a house that still thinks like a listening room.
01The room
In a rented floor in Central became a listening room. Friends brought records, we brought cables, and the evenings ran longer than the leases. Mulberry Service Ltd was registered so the room could order parts, keep stock, and treat listening as work rather than a hobby that had gotten out of hand.
02The name
Mulberry trees feed silkworms. The fruit stains. Both take a season. The name is that tree: patience, silk, and a mark that lasts. Silk still sits in the finishes — leather, cloth, and the way treble is rolled so it never scratches. On this site we go by Mulberry; the company is Mulberry Service Ltd.
03The work
Every model is voiced in the same room, on the same two recordings, at the same modest volume. We do not chase the loudest bass or the sharpest spec sheet. We chase a pair you can wear after dinner without noticing the clamp, and a midrange that still tells you who is singing.
Honest voicing
We tune for voices, acoustic instruments, and long sessions. Excitement that cannot last an album is not a feature.
Materials you can name
Leather, wood, steel, polymer. Pads you can replace. Cables that detach. Nothing ornamental that will not age.
A conversation, not a cart
This site is a catalogue and a letter. Availability, repairs, and listening appointments go through people.
Visitors are welcome by appointment at 12/F, Silk House, 28 Cochrane Street, Central, Hong Kong. Write first — the room is quiet on purpose.
